About
A holistic approach to Gynaecology
Dr Nele Dumpert has studied medicine at Christian-Albrechts-Univesity Kiel, Germany, and has been a medical doctor since 2005.
She has been passionate about Gynaecology since volunteering in her early 20s at a rural hospital in Zimbabwe and assisting women in antenatal clincs and during labour and birth.
This passion has led her to qualify as a Gynaecologist in 2011. Many experiences throughout her medical career and personal life have made her see clearly how the medical world often undervalues women’s bodies and health concerns and how often when these concerns are being dismissed and not addressed early enough they build up into larger problems that need invasive and potentially harmful therapy which could have been prevented by a more supportive holistic approach which values and respects women’s physiology and cares about women’s concerns.
She has extended her medical training into functional medicine (FEMM medical management masterclass), naturopathic medicine (Health Masters Live training courses by Lara Briden and other naturopaths), advanced menopause care (BMS Advanced Certificate in Menopause Care), well woman yoga therapy training (Yoni Shakti by Uma Dinsmore-Tuli), Natural Family Planning Teacher Training (NFPTA), restorative reproductive medicine (Dr Phil Boyle – neofertility) and integrative medicine (Dr Aviva Romm).
She founded the Holistic Gynaecology Clinic London in 2024 as she passionately cares about women’s well-being. She uses her expertise to support each of her patients by really listening to her concerns, doing diagnostic testing that finds the root causes of the problem and addressing these through a combination of dietary and lifestyle changes, supplements, herbal treatments and specific prescription medications. Dr Nele offers online consultations as well as in person appointments at her consulting rooms in South London.
She holds a substantive Consultant post in Community Gynaecology and Sexual and Reproductive Health at Oxleas NHS Trust (SE London) and does regular clinics as a Consultant Colposcopist at Homerton hospital (E London).
