Perimenopause
Perimenopause is the life phase that precedes the final menstrual period, it can last up to ten years and can be a time of difficult to deal with symptoms such as insomnia, brain fog, difficulty concentrating, feeling irritable and angry, irregular and heavy periods amongst others.
These symptoms can start as early as your late 30s and cannot be diagnosed by a blood test such as a low FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) level.
Perimenopause is diagnosed by a combination of being the right age (any time from mid to late 30s onwards) and having typical symptoms.
There are many ways to help you have an easier time through menopause and we will help you with this by creating a personalised plan incorporating dietary advice, lifestyle adaptations, recommendations for specific supplements and prescription of body-identical hormone therapy HRT if needed.
